SLU-PP-332 is a novel small molecule compound that acts as a perifollicle estrogen receptor (ERR) agonist, primarily targeting ERRα, ERRβ, and ERRγ, with the strongest activation effect on ERRα (EC₅₀=98 nM). This compound activates the ERR signaling pathway by mimicking the metabolic regulation mechanisms of exercise, thereby modulating energy metabolism, mitochondrial function, and muscle endurance.

Feature

(1)Mechanism of action: activate ERRα/β/γ, upregulate fatty acid oxidation (FAO) and mitochondrial respiration related genes, promote fat breakdown for energy supply, reduce fat accumulation, enhance skeletal muscle mitochondrial function, improve oxidative capacity and endurance, similar to the effect of aerobic training.
(2)Bioactivity: a) Animal model effects: Obese mice: after 28 days of medication, body weight decreased by 12%, and liver fat, cholesterol, and triglycerides were significantly reduced; normal mice: running time increased by 70%, distance increased by 45%, without affecting appetite or voluntary movement. b) Safety: no serious side effects were observed in preclinical studies.
(3)Physical and chemical properties: white to white solid, soluble in DMSO (75 mg/mL) and ethanol, insoluble in water; should be stored in the dark.
